Production Day 7

We changed from going in the green room, to the black room, as it was a darker location. we finished half of the final scene. For this we had to get a big light, to shine down on my face, a bag over my face, so i had no idea what was going on. we put fake blood on my face, it looked so realistic that Steve believed when said i got beaten up and he well worried

Production Day 6

Managed to actually film the phone call sequence, we changed the location as the one we wanted to use, was in use by another group of people. so we managed to finish the whole of scene 2. it took us a lot of time to actually get the propper film, because we kept mucking about, and things that were done were really funny. but we did manage to finish the whole of this scene.

Production Day 5

We started filming the scene where our character gets kidnapped, however, we had difficulties with the sound as there wasnt any.

Production Day 4

We filmed me walking down some stairs, and walking out the building.

Production Day 3

Today we started filming of the first scene of "TRAPPED'. This consisted of me walking out of an office, and walking down a corridor, we finished this today. We found some difficulty with finding a room to use, when we finally found one, we asked the man for permission, and filmed our little bit, done it with all different angles to see if we could get the light in what place we wanted it.

Today we done Green Room test footage, seeing what we could do with it.

Production Day 1

Today we were planning for the short film 'TRAPPED' finished the script, and planned when we were going to film what and when.

Costume Sheet

Basically the lowdown for the costumes is that Brad and Jackson are wearing the same outfits, and im wearing a suit. There is a reason brad and jack are wearing the same outfit, but youll find out later ;)

Prop Sheet

This is all the props we will be needing for our short film. we have a black bag, a swirly chair, a baseball bat, a cigarette, a machete, and 4 sets of handcuffs. this will all be necessary during the last scene.

we finished the location breakdown sheet and got all the locations and actors and props sorted out for all 3 scenes. finding these places was a lot of fun and quite interesting seeing some place's around college.

my target audience member is basically a person that listens to heavy metal music, plays violent games, watches violent-teen tv shows, wears band merchandise and doesnt eat healthily at all.

My moodboard has just basic torture themes on it, with the dark room, and torture devices. i decided this because i thought it all looked quite cool together, i got all the basic torture things and just mashed them into one, from 2 classic tortute films, hostel and saw.

'TRAPPED' Group Planning

when we started planning as a group, we decided to use my idea, with the guy that gets captured. we could have gone with a guy that was stuck in a zombie apocalypse, or a child that was stuck in a house where they were abused. hearing my friends ideas was quite cool, but we did decide to go with mine, because it'd be the easiest to do.

'TRAPPED' Initial Planning

 my initial ideas were just a guy getting taken, while walking through a dark alley, and waking up to a dark room chained to something, and in the end he gets shot in the head, but i decided to put a bit more of a twist onto it, which i am yet to think of what that twist is going to be. it is to be 3-5 minutes long, and be called trapped.

Rosie Ball Visit Session

Today an ex-student called Rosie came to see us, she was telling us how she entered a competition to create a game, and get it published. Turns out her game called Tick Tock Toybox was one of 3 winners, and she is going to the baftas and might get an award. pretty cool. when i had a go at this game for the iPad i knew that it was good, and fun, and quite addictive. it was very interesting her telling us about her uni things too.

Horror Mood Board

I thought this was really fun, cause i really like horror movies, so finding images that will eventually be part of my work was a lot of fun, as you can probably tell, i really like the whole zombies theme, i find the theme really really interesting, and that is probably going to be a big part of my media course.

New York Final Cut Sequence

this was the end, this is where we finished our new york projects, using our idents, using the theme song, and it fitted really, i found this very stressful, but in the end alot of fun and im quite proud of it. i wish we had more time and more knowledge of final cut before finishing, but it turned out ok. i had a lot of fun with new york :( shame its over

New York Garage Band Soundtrack Session

This lesson we made a soundtrack to put over our new york title sequence. For this i put a fixed drumbeat at the start, and tried to make it a little less serious than the other session on garage band, and used a banjo, with some synthisers, it sounded different, but fit with the imported New York title sequence, so it was ok. i really enjoyed having fun with this, using the most random sounds to make a theme song, and it worked!

New York Final Cut Editing Session

In this lesson we edited some pictures of new york, to make in to a sort of slide show, i found this quite enjoyable because we got to what we wanted, with any of the pictures, using transitions and fade outs. We used pictures of skyscrapers, statue of liberty and ariel views of New York.

This is my track, im really happy with it, it sounds like a rocky sort of song, with a dubstep attack on it. i really like the way the guitar actually fits with the synth

Logo ident production session

today we finally got round to doing the actual logo and used final cut for the first time this is something i found really really enjoyable. using all the move tools, the pen tools and all that stuff. mine ended up as a car just driving round the screen and then at the end the car comes towards with the caption 'Tom Tom productions' on it.

Media production company logo planning session

today we just designed some logos on paper, and annotated them. steve also told about the shame making tool which i found very useful. got a little bit boring when we just drawing, but once we got onto photoshop and started playing around it was quite fun.

Logo research session

This lesson we researched 2 logo's and drew a picture of them. we found out when the company was founded, any original logo's that have been changed since. I done ESP-guitars and basses and ORANGE amplifiers. i found this really interesting, because they are both 2 musical instrument companies, and i found out things that i did not know about the two companies.

Club Flyer Task

Today we designed a flyer for a club, which had to include dates, times, music acts, catchy name and drinks. this was quite a challenge to start, cause i had no idea where to start. In the end i went with a blue back ground, a picture of a guitar, and a name, lots of colours and live music. my club was designed for a metal/dubstep style of music.

Earth & Eye

For this lesson, our first lesson using photoshop, we had to make a picture of the earth, into a contact lens, using a many different effects as we want. first we had to crop a picture of the earth, copy and paste it on the the picture of the eye. then use the move tool for shape it, and put it in the right place. then make it more transparent so you can se the pupil. then i changed the colour of the skin to a more greeny colour, sort of like the hulk. i really enjoyed this and had alot of fun.
